Do my clients need to install anything or make an account?
No install or account is needed for the other party. Open SignedChange in any phone or desktop browser and write the change. Then either send the other party a private, one-time signing link (by WhatsApp, email, or any app) so they review and sign on their own phone, or hand them your device to sign with a finger. Once they sign, you're notified in the app and the document shows “Signed by both” in My documents, where you can download the signed PDF. If they ask for changes instead, you see their reason there. Signing links expire after 14 days.
Where is my data stored?
Documents (text, signatures and any photos you attach) are stored on SignedChange's server on Cloudflare for up to 2 years, so both people can download the same signed PDF. Your account is a private key kept in your browser – never share it. Only you (with that key) and the person holding the one-time signing link can open a document. A public verify page shows only the status, names, dates and fingerprints – never signatures, amounts or contact details. For the audit trail we store a one-way hash of each party's IP address, their browser type and time zone, not the IP itself. Unsent drafts and saved templates stay only on your device. We never sell or share your documents, and you can permanently delete any document (including its photos) from My documents.
Is a SignedChange PDF legally binding?
It is a written, signed and dated record of what both sides agreed, which is far stronger evidence than a verbal promise. Electronic signatures are recognised in many countries (for example under the US ESIGN Act and UK law), but rules vary, so check with a local professional for high-value or regulated work. SignedChange records the typed name, time, network hash and fingerprints of each signature; it does not verify anyone's identity.
How much does it cost?
Your first 3 signed change records are free. Pro Monthly is $9 USD per month (cancel any time), or Pro Lifetime is a one-time payment of $49 USD. Both come with a 7-day money-back guarantee.
How can I pay?
Through PayPal (a PayPal account or a debit/credit card via PayPal guest checkout where available), PayPal is our only payment method. You do not need a PayPal account to pay by card where guest checkout is available.
